Jockey Jeremy Rose Suspended for 6 Months

(Article up at Bloodhorse.com) Jeremy Rose has been suspended for 6 months following a hearing with the Delaware Park officials regarding the third race on June 23rd, in which Rose repeatedly whipped mount Appeal to the City over the head. 5 year old Appeal to the City experienced some hemmorhaging around the eye and was taken to New Bolton for medical treatment. Rose is also required to pay all medical bills for the treatment of Appeal to the City and to attend an anger management course. The suspension will end December 24, 2008.

    I used to really think highly of Jeremy Rose, but now I am ashamed. What a terrible thing to do to a horse.

    AN EYE FOR AN EYE I SAY, LETS SMASH JEREMY IN HIS EYE WITH HIS STICK, BET HE DOESNT DO IT AGAIN AFTER THAT !!!!! PUNISHMENT SHOULD FIT THE CRIME, HE NEEDS HARSHER JUDGEMENT LIKE THE HORSE GOT FOR TRYING HER HEART OUT , THEN GOT HER EYE PUT OUT FOR RUNNUING HARD !!!! WHAT A CREEP THIS PUNK IS !!!
