I personally think that Dutrow is kind of an idiot and has assured that Big Brown will not be winning the Derby this year with that choice of the 20 hole - I can understand wanting a clean trip and keeping the speed inside of you, but the poor horse is starting in the parking lot. Eight Belles’ chances have actually improved quite a bit in my book, and I really feel for poor Gayego, who I thought might have had a real shot before the post draw happened. Visionaire and Smooth Air both got good spots, though, so that’s good, and Colonel John is sitting chilly there in the 10 hole. I guess I have no real opinion on the others.
